Queens Legal Services (QLS) seeks equal access to justice for all
low-income residents of Queens through a range of legal advocacy,
education and community partnerships. We provide free legal counseling,
representation and referrals in civil matters to eligible low-income
individuals and families, and we work with our clients and partners to
identify and address root causes for systemic inequalities in Queens and
throughout New York City.

Housing Emergencies: If you have a Marshal’s notice of
eviction or have been evicted very recently, please come to our office
at 89-00 Sutphin Boulevard, Room 206, Jamaica, NY 11435, any weekday
between 9 am and 5 pm.

Our basic income eligibility guidelines are 125% of the federal poverty
level -- currently $26,500 a year for a family of 4. But we can often
go considerably above that depending on the type of case. To check on

representation to thousands of people every year, but, unfortunately,
our resources are limited so that we cannot guarantee that we can help
every eligible person.
